Fact: This car was our wedding gift from my brother…. the2005 Scion xA
Yesterday New York City announced the closing of the public school for today due to the snow storm. This announcement was made before 11am yesterday…. that’s 12 hours before the snow even reach into our city. HAHAH! Nice!!!
My wife wasn’t the only one who didn’t have to get up for work today. Our NY and NJ office are closed today too. So got up early, made some coffee and some yummy blueberry pancakes for the wife and kid. Then we headed out to Prospect Park. It was windy and cold. We didn’t stay out too long. Here’s a few shot I managed to get before heading back home. They say the Eye of the Storm is not even here yet…. Our Mayor is still deciding if school should be cancel or not tomorrow. Gonna try to head back out later tonight for more pictures and to clean/shovel the car, in case school is open so wife can go to work.
On a different note… I took my new Boda V3 Plum Lens bag out for a weatherproof test. So far so good. and I am loving my new Black Rapid R-Strap RC7…. will be reviewing those later the week or next.
Its not really a winter in New York unless there’s some snow fall. Well thats what we got on Saturday December 19, 2009. I will say it was not fun driving home from Queens after attending a house party. My Scion xA is not made to be driven in the snow. And to make matter worst, the car battery die after leaving the head lights turned on while gas was being pumped. grrrrrr. Yup, so I was in the middle of no where (Queens Blvd & 71st Street) at 11pm. Finally got some juice and didnt get home until 2:30am. fun fun!!!
Anyway, the next day we all went out for a short walk around the Prospect Park to check out the snow. Dylan wasn’t too happy walking on the snow. Not sure if he was afraid, or just tired from the long evening waiting for Daddy to get the car fix. It was still nice just being out enjoying the beautiful snow. Here’s a few pictures from that day at Prospect Park. We are gonna be getting some more snow tonight and tomorrow. They say we might get anywhere from 3 to 8″. Be safe everyone. Its FRIDAY!!!
We took Dylan to the New York Aquarium in Brooklyn last year in April. Not much was open for public, i guess due to the cold weather. But we still had a blast and got to see a lot of the fishy. Here’s two images I like to share with you.
Here’s a post we can all look forward to arriving after a few snow fall from last night.
Another day with the family enjoying what the city has for us. Its that time of the year, so we decided to head over to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to check out the Cherry Blossom. We were a little too early, so a lot of the tree weren’t ready yet. But we still managed to see a lot of amazing stuff. Here’s some pictures for you to check out.
Last Friday, my mother was nice enought to watch Dylan for another 6 hours, so my wife and I can watch Apothecary Hymns’ first show of the year. We haven’t seen these guys ever since Dylan was born. Man! LOVE their new tunes.
